Tutorial 11Windows sign-in2:45 · Narrated in Portuguese, with English captions.Transcript and details

When your organization protects its Windows computers, the sign-in screen asks for a phone approval after your Windows password. It works with the approver app already linked to your account.

How do I sign in?

  1. On the Windows screen, pick your account and type your Windows password.
  2. The panel shows «Approve on your phone» and a six-digit number, with the text «Open the request on Ana's Pixel and type this number:» (your phone's name) and «Expires in» with the time left.
  3. On your phone, open the «Sign in to Windows» request. Check the computer's name.
  4. Type the number from the Windows screen and choose «Approve». Confirm with biometrics or the PIN.
  5. The panel shows «Approved» and starts your Windows session.

The request expires after 60 seconds. If it does not arrive, use «Didn't get it? Send again».

What if I do not have my phone with me?

«The user name or password is incorrect.»The Windows password is wrong; the phone is not contacted

Why does my phone get nothing?

For security, a Windows account not mapped to you, or refused by your organization's policy, looks the same as any other refusal and nothing is sent to the phone. Support sees the reason in the computer's history.

No network

When the computer has no connection, the panel switches to offline mode. See Sign in to Windows offline.
