«This organization awaits activation.» (realm_provisioning)

Symptom

The sign-in page shows «This organization awaits activation.» with the detail «Its first administrator activates it with the one-time code sent by your provider, from the activation link or by entering the code here. Sign-in opens once it is active.» In the console or the API you see «This organization is not active yet. Its first administrator must activate it.» (403 realm_provisioning).

Cause

The provider created the organization, but nobody has used the activation code yet. Until then nobody can sign in, and integrations (SCIM, OIDC, SAML, RADIUS) do not work.

Fix

If you are the first administrator:

1. Open the activation link you received from your provider, or enter the code on the sign-in page.
2. Choose your email and password.
3. Create your passkey straight away: only that completes activation.

If you are a user: wait for your organization's administrator to finish activation. There is nothing to do on your side.

If you are a distributor: check that the code reached the right person and has not expired. If it expired or was lost, issue a new code for the organization.

When to escalate

If the code is refused and has not expired, the distributor should contact the platform with the organization's identifier.
